Evolution Sports Group is Western New York’s premier player development group.
Our staff has experienced success at every level of the game. They inherently understand that each individual player’s needs are unique and require a tailored approach to become a better performer both on and off the ice. Whether you are attending a weekly clinic or a week long camp, our staff strives to provide the individual attention and feedback you need to understand how the provided drills will benefit your game and to maximize your potential through proper technique and execution.
Meet our Coaches
Kelly Collins
SKILLS AND SKATING COACH
Kelly was the first woman to play Men's Varsity Hockey at Fairport High School. She was a three sport athlete all four years at SUNY Oswego where she is the all-time Women's Hockey leading scorer. She currently coaches the ROCO 10U Girls Team and the Mite Major Red Team.
Greg Collins
CO-FOUNDER, SKILLS AND SKATING COACH
Greg was a standout player and captain at University of New Hampshire (UNH) where he was selected NCAA Best Defensive Forward at UNH. He played in the ECHL and was the captain of the Las Vegas Wranglers. He also spent 5 seasons overseas in Germany, Netherlands, Scotland and New Zealand. He Currently coaching BK Selects 14U
Chris Collins
CO-FOUNDER, SKILLS AND SKATING COACH
Collins, a Rochester native, excelled in hockey from his youth in Western New York and Ontario to a standout career at Boston College. After signing with the Boston Bruins, he played professionally for eight years, including stints in Finland and Germany. Now, he co-founded The Evolve Sports Group in Rochester, focusing on player development. He's also coaching with the Rochester Coalition and BK Selects, currently serving as Director of Hockey for BK Selects Boys program.
Glenn Collins
SKATING AND GAME SITUATIONS COACH
Glenn was the captain of the Pittsford Sutherland High School Hockey Team where he was coached by Don Cherry. He then went on to play for RIT. After his playing career ended, Glenn embarked on a 30+ year coaching journey which included both youth and collegiate levels.
Ryan Haen
SKILLS, SKATING, AND GOALIE COACH
Ryan was a Section V Champion with the Pittsford Varsity team. He went on to play for Ithaca where he started all four years. He is currently the Goalie Coach for the Pittsford Varsity team and he is certified as a Strength & Conditioning Specialist (NCSA)
Ben McManama
SKILLS AND SKATING COACH
Ben played at Boston College after he graduated from The Noble and Greenough school. He is currently the head coach of The Neponset Valley River Rats 15's AAA Team and North Attleboro High School Varsity Team. He also served as the Hockey Director for The Boston Junior Terriers and Michals Hockey Academy.
Shayne Stockton
Shayne played at Holy Cross where he started all four years. After graduating, he went on to play in Europe for Amiens in France and Fife in England.
